11:11 (Mac Lethal album)

11:11 is the debut album by Mac Lethal, released in 2007 on Rhymesayers. It was produced by Seven, Lenny D and Lazerbeak of Doomtree.

History

Prior to release, it went through a number of iterations and changes over the course of about three years. The album that Mac turned into Rhymesayers in 2005 was not the one that was ultimately released. During the writing/recording of the original, Lethal was distraught over the death of his mother and break-up with his fiancé-to-be at the time. After re-emerging on the other side of a tour with P.O.S., he felt that his darker version of 11:11 would ultimately be destructive. Many of the songs recorded for this prior version were released as the Love Potion Collection Volume 2.^[1] Additionally, Mac felt that by the time 2007 hit, his initial record was dated both in terms of content and style, and so he recorded some entirely new songs with updated beats.^[2]
